I'm dying to know if this Barred Rock is a rooster?

She looks like a pullet. What is the age?

This is what my Black Sexlink Roo looks like at only 5 weeks old(he is part barred rock) chick to the left

My Barred Rock is 9 weeks. The chicken makes this weird crow noise at me whenever I go into the coop. And it stands in its place. Rarely ever run away from me. Thanks for getting back to me

It looks like a pullet to me. Do you have a picture of it as a day old?

Looks like a pullet to me too. As for the weird noise she makes when you arrive? All I can say is she's a Barred Rock and they are goofy birds, bold and always with something to say. But it does look like a girl to me.

That's a pullet.

She's a pullet for sure. A rooster would be lighter in color (barred females are almost always darker than barred males), and have a larger, redder comb at this age.
