I had an EE that I swore was a 'he' by the comb. It was twice the size of the others and a much deeper red. I've had 'her' for three years now. But...I highly doubt that's the case here. I guess that teaches me to actually give them a good look over rather then just telling the girl at the feed store that I want 6 chicks and just letting her grab any old chicks.

The difference is that EEs are notoriously hard to sex by comb alone. RIR on the other hand--those are pretty easy to sex by early comb development.
