Rooster's comb bleeding all over the place-

I had concerns with locking in moisture too, I wasn't certain if there was negative effects to locking in Moisture. Maybe just covering the tips where the frostbite is more likely is a good idea. Tomorrow we have a warm spell starting and I will be cleaning it off the roosters I used it on.
I really don't know if it will hurt anything or not(?)
If you normally do get frostbitten combs, then it's worth a try to see if the vaseline works. Maybe on a couple roosters and compare?

I'm the original poster, and for some reason i didn't get notified to my email that there were responses. So I posted yet another thread, so now there are two thread about this. anyways, its not an "injury" it is frostbite.
His wattles must get dunked in the water dish, as someone mentioned. (my nipple waterer is a problem in the winter- the water stays warm, but the nipples freeze because they are vertical. I need to make a horizontal one, just haven't gotten around to it. There is also warm water in the goat waterer, so if he was smart he could just drink out of that.
I will take some pics so you all can see. Not too sure I want to catch him- our roost is at 6 feet, so Id need a stool, and be fumbling in the dark cold barn at night taking bad blurry pics by myself. Probably not gonna happen....
Photos to come later today I hope.

I don't know why the pictures are posting twice. so weird.
Anyways, the front halves of his wattles are gone today, must have ripped off. And he isn't bleeding anymore. Certainly he is acting normal. ;-)
