I own Sultans and they break theirs quite a bit---pretty clumsy, eh?

I labeled my thoughts on what's in the picture. A pin feather is a feather with blood supply. They are generally larger stiff feathers. They break sometimes and can bleed like crazy.
Dip them in oil as in castor oil? and then rubbing the Vaseline and sulfur after that? Also is yellow sulfur something that I can get at a store with a garden area? Or at a feed store? thank you.Yes, I would treat for scaly leg mites. I wouldn't do the gasoline method, as it might burn like crazy on his red areas. Try the yellow sulpher powder mixed with Vaseline. I would soak his legs first in warm water and rub legs with a toothbrush to loosen and soften up the scales, then dip the feet and legs in oil, then rub the sulpher/Vaseline mixture on.
That's what it looks like to me. Give his feet a scub up with a toothbrush and see how they look.Thank you. This is helpful.
They have it at our local feed stores here. I would dip the feet and legs in olive oil or even vegetable oil, before coating with Sulphur/Vaseline. Because its going to be hard to get the mixture onto every spot due to the feathered feet.Dip them in oil as in castor oil? and then rubbing the Vaseline and sulfur after that? By scrubbing up should I try to scrub upward and underneath the scales? That's what it looks like to me. Give his feet a scub up with a toothbrush and see how they look.
I'd treat for scaley leg mites too.
Wait - I just reread Andreanar's comment about softening the scales and rubbing so I think I know what to do now.Buy scrubbing up should I try to scrub upward and underneath the scales?
