Rooster's Feathered feet look bad!

Yes, I would treat for scaly leg mites. I wouldn't do the gasoline method, as it might burn like crazy on his red areas. Try the yellow sulpher powder mixed with Vaseline. I would soak his legs first in warm water and rub legs with a toothbrush to loosen and soften up the scales, then dip the feet and legs in oil, then rub the sulpher/Vaseline mixture on.
Dip them in oil as in castor oil? and then rubbing the Vaseline and sulfur after that? Also is yellow sulfur something that I can get at a store with a garden area? Or at a feed store? thank you.

They have it at our local feed stores here. I would dip the feet and legs in olive oil or even vegetable oil, before coating with Sulphur/Vaseline. Because its going to be hard to get the mixture onto every spot due to the feathered feet.

And this is repeated daily for a few weeks?
