Hello!

Last Friday we had a predator attack and during that event one of our roosters got his tail feathers taken. I’m assuming the “injury” itself isn’t a big deal. Especially considering it’s been nearly a week and it wasn’t bleeding horribly or anything (it just looks like a chicken that got it feathers plucked). I was just worried about if those feathers will grow back and if so how soon? I also just wanted to double check with people who know what they are talking about if they think the injury looks okay.

I’ll post pictures of it today (a week after the attack), pics of it the day it happened, and a general photo of how his tail used to look (as a reference and because he’s a handsome boy).

Thank you guys!

This is Cllin. There have been others. He managed to get a weasel attatched to his arse. I did tell him he needs to be facing the other was round if he's going to take on weasels.
He needed two stitches in his arse, daily cleaning and disinfecting and a lot of love because he, as you can see, was feeling depressed about the whole business.
It took months to fully regrow his feathers.
