I know this is going to be a dumb question, but I just want to be ABSOLUTELY sure that these are roosters before I send them off to their (un)certain future. They are so beautiful, and I would love to keep them all, but 7 of a hatch of 9 birds do appear to be roosters, and that's just not going to work here. These birds are 24 weeks old, and they are very lovely, easy going birds. They are NOT crowing (the other three not shown here are), NOT mating (the others are!!). These four do, however, have all of the characteristic features of roosters, I'm afraid. I kept watching, thinking... "maybe it's because they're AM or EEs, that might explain the tail" but the tails kept growing and the neck feathers are so long and spiked and the saddle feathers are flowing... So they are roosters, I know. But I need a few people to tell me that I'm not wrong, that I'm not getting rid of hens by mistake. So, my question is: are they roosters, absolutely, for sure?? No doubt?
