I enjoy having roosters, but also use them for breeding , flock protectors and meat

Nothing like a pretty rooster to look at.
But, I use them for breeding, selling, and meat on occasion.

Here's one of my current ones:


This one is a Blue-Tailed Red.
Dad: Blue/Red Splash Easter Egger
Mom: Red Naked Neck
I've currently got him covering some Red Sex Link hens, trying to see if I can get more Blue-Tailed Reds.

I love Roosters, all breeds and colors.

I keep way to many to just use them for breeding, many are beloved pets, a few are guards, some are just nice to look at, but we also use them for meat when "to many" gets to be "THERE ARE TO MANY DANG ROOS AROUND HERE!".
