We noticed our rooster was limping about 3 days ago, and I thought maybe he pulled a muscle because he recently started mating with our hens. I was watching him during the second day, and he was still limping. We were able to pick him up and we checked his legs out, no obvious cuts or swelling. I checked the bottom of his feet to to make sure that it was not bumblefoot, and nothing stood out to me. As of last night, he won't even try walking. He now just sits there, and I don't know what to do! My husband said that when he picked him up today his left leg is now completely limp and just dangles. Has this happened to any of you before?

I would separate him inside a dog crate with food and water. It sounds like he could have nerve damage in his leg from an injury, or possibly Mareks disease. Is the bandage where you think it could be injured? How old is he? Was he vaccinated for Mareks? Roosters or cockerels can easily get injured jumping or especially if there are other roosters. Mareks is usually diagnosed after a necropsy is done after death. There is a blood test available also.

When you lifted him up, did his legs react the same (do the toes move?)
