Roosters or Hens?

We picked up 6 chickens from a feed store and only two have been laying eggs. They were all around 18 weeks when we got them but now, six weeks later still waiting for other 'hens' to start laying and no luck. We are most definately sure we have at least one rooster in the mix as he has been practicing waking us up every morning but...not sure about other 3. Any advice on how to tell? One is a speckled grayish chicken and very thin and the other are white Brahmas (spelling?) Any advice would be nice! Thanks!

Roosters will have pointed saddle(back) and hackle(neck) feathers coming in at that age, they are also shiny. We an tell you want breed and sex they are if you post individual pics of them

I would love to post pics but I haven't been able to figure that out. This site doesn't show an option to tag or post pictures and I'm not a computer buff so any advice there?!

in the reply section there is a little picture with a house in it (next to the film). click on that to upload pictures.

Nope. There's only a reply button up top or in the section you have left a message. No picture of a house and no picture of a film. Even had my husband and son check to make sure it wasn't me. I don't know why I'm not getting those options. The only only thing is a red flag and pencil in left hand corner of messages.

I have a similar problem, I know how to select the pics but I can't post them because of an image URL and I don't have an exterior link, any way I can post pics without the URL link? It won't let me!

If you click reply to this thread or scroll to the bottom of this page you will see a reply box the icons are directly above the box you write in, if you click on the little box with the house this is the insert image box it will then come up with a separate box to either insert an image from your computer or add an url for an image I always click from computer as my pics are on there then click the pic you want and upload it following the instructions.
