The analgesic in neosporin isn't dangerous to birds in the amounts needed for a cut like this. @casportpony I think has done a good bit of study on the issue.I flush out wounds with a saline solution, and then use neosporin (WITHOUT painkiller) or vetericyn.
Ah ok. I literally just read two minutes before about how it can kill a bird. I think, if I remember properly, it would really only really start to be dangerous if they ingested an entire 1oz tube. Maybe not even then. Skin transfer on a small cut isn't an issue.Ah ok.
