Roosters! Why do I love thee so?!

I'm a 46 year old suburban mom/wife/nurse with a pet rooster who has begotten some pet roosters, all of whom have been adored, here and in their newly adopted homes.

What is it with roosters? Would the people who love their roosters please post?

I look forward to time with our beloved Mr. Woof every day. So do his hens.



So my question is this: WHY KEEP A ROOSTER? Anybody out there who loves their rooster (s), please post! Thanks!

I DO!!!!!

I totally relate to our roos better than our hens. I think roos regard me as part of the flock, and the hens regard me as the feed barrel opening device.
