it's nearly miraculous how the skin just healed right over the exposed bone. And fascinating to see how a feather sprouts from a little plastic looking tube!

Just happened across this today! I know it's an old post but- golly!! I'm so happy your rooster lived! Very brave little guy. So glad you were both knowledgeable and brave enough to help him through it all!
