Roosters

Purebreds are not at all important, unless you're trying to sell hatching eggs or chicks. Even then there's ways around it!
I have a mixed breed flock. Mixed breeds often add color, variety, and fun to an every day flock. They can be surprising, with large combs or white feathers popping out if nowhere! You can even sex link your chickens (black sex links are in demand) by breeding barred hens to non-barred roosters.

If you want to sell chicks or hatching eggs, you still can. Just price reasonably and oversell your product. Make them sound like three thousanf tons of gold.
How many roosters do you have? How many hens? Post a picture of the rooster that doesn't breed. How old is he?
He's a little over a year old I think.

Thats weird i have a roo that mates but mixes well with my hens an acts more like them if that makes since. Hes different from my other roosters. Also if you have colorful roostes not just brown that can help mix up the coloring.
