Hi!
The Easter bunny brought my kids one of each of the 6 breeds of chickens from Tractor Supply for Easter this spring. It’s been fun, but one (or more) of them have started crowing periodically in the mornings. Of the 6 chicks I have, these are my top 3 contenders for roosters. Thoughts?

There’s a California white, silver laced Wyandotte, 2 golden laced Wyandottes, a silkie, and another one which I think it’s a Rhode Island Red, but I’m not sure.

Why are those your main contenders? None of those look like cockerels, let's see the others.
They have the biggest combs compared to the others (see pictures below), are taller, more assertive, and the golden laced Wyandotte has green tail feathers.

All birds with black on them with have a green/purple sheen if healthy, it's not an indication of gender. :] At 11 weeks, male feathers should be coming in soon but there's no comb or wattle development that indicate male and there typically would be at this age for male.

The red one is a sex link of some sort. My money is on the silkie, can we see pictures of the comb on the silkie? Maybe the red laced Wyandotte, but wyandottes can mature quickly regardless of gender.

I am not seeing anything, of any of the ones pictured. That makes me think they are roosters. It is also easier see them, if they are just standing. Clearly showing their head, along with the neck, saddle and tail feathers.

Thank you!! This is all NEW to me! My kids will be happy if they can keep them all!
