My husband proudly brought in eggs last week (I’m healing from a total knee replacement, so he has been pressed into service.) We have three pullets laying daily until the last few hot days. We get a green-blue from the Easter Egger, a matte pinkish-brown from the Buff Orp, and a shiny golden-tan from the Barred Rock.…I snapped a photo of my wooden eggs the next to a real one..hard to tell the difference even for me! I had to put a Sharpie spot on one end of mine so I wouldn’t gather and try to scramble one! lol!
Best of luck with your ladies!

ANYWAY, the eggs he brought in were one blue-green and two matte pinkish-brown; hmm. Sure enough, one of the browns was one of our fake eggs.
They now have big Sharpie X’s on the round ends.
