I have mine at 36" off the ground, 12" per bird, 16" between roosts if they're side by side.  I went 12" from the wall and have no issues.

What is the total depth of your poop board and how far does the front edge stick out from the nearest roost?

Thanks glad I came in to check out some information, just moved girls into barn and removed old coop. I now have a good idea on finishing the new digs. Just thought I'd ask. Do roosters roost also?
