What do you think of my roosting placement? There is less than a foot from the floor of the coop to the branches.

Im new so I have no idea!

Hmm....looks OK, they are higher than nests.
But I have doubts about the strength of attachment of those smaller branches.
It's mighty small coop, what are they dimensions?
How many birds will you keep in there?

Welcome to BYC! @terilou
Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

The brown branch that splits, one of the sides comes awfully close to wall above nest boxes. You need 12" from wall to the bar. Coop is also small, space enough for 2 large fowl.

I think there is enough room for for large hens, especially if they are getting along well. You will likely have all four roosting side by side if they can. This assumes they get plenty of outside time in run.

They have a 8' by 4' run, with an additional 3' x 3' "bonus" run under the coop. We are planning on them only being in the run when we are not home for the first few months. Probably until fall. Then they will probably be able to be wherever they like. Our area doesn't have too many predators. Almost all of our neighbors have 5+ chickens and are doing the same thing.

You be good then.

As long as they can't poop on each other you're looking good to me. I personally like to offer different heights- I have no scientific proof, but it seems to calm my birds in the coop since they can exhibit dominance by height. They seem to peck each other less.
