Roosting

I have 5 hens and 1 rooster that are about 10 weeks old and are all lying in one corner of their coop. I have built them a roost about a foot off the ground it’s a 2x3 on its side. Every time I try and put them on the roost they just jump off and go back to the corner. I have even put obstacles in the corner and they still will try to get to that one corner. Any suggestions would be helpful.

At their own speed, they'll decide they want to roost higher than on the floor.
