This is the inside of the coop with the roosts swung up to the ceiling. The slanted pine board at the right side of the pic is propping up one front corner of the roost structure.
This leg swings up on a hinge pivot and the locks into place out of the way. When down it supports the right front of the roost structure.
We use 2 boards to prop up the roost structure. The structure isn’t really heavy but is a bit awkward to lift up but my husband can do it himself.
We lift the roosts up about once a month to do a complete rake out and then add sand. We clean the nest boxes at the same time.
