RopaPoultry Oregano Oil Supplement

I just started using Ropa about 3 weeks ago. I am a huge fan of using essential oils in taking care of my family and myself and when I saw that Stromburg was running a special on the Ropa, I decided to give it a try. All of my hens are very healthy anyway but I do have one hen who is only 2 years old and has always laid nothing but soft shells. It had gotten to the point that no matter how I tried to supplement her diet nothing made any difference in her egg quality or frequency. She was only laying about once a month which was fine with me because I know that hens who lay softshells consistently can typically have internal laying issues at some point. This sweet girl is one of our favorites so it didn't bother me that she so infrequently because I did not want to lose her to EYP or something else related to internal laying. Back to the Ropa....as I stated, I started using it in their water about 3 weeks ago and last Friday, 4-15, our softshell laying hen laid a relatively normal egg. I say relatively normal because it had a little deformity on one end but the shell was hard enough. The next day and everyday after that except one she has laid a normal egg, hard shells with no deformities. The only thing different in her diet is the Ropa so that has to be reason her egg game is finally on track. I am very impressed and will continue to buy!

Hello, could you please let me know where you purchased the RopaPoultry and did you get the powder or the liquid? Do you give it to your chicks and pullets or just our laying hens? Thank you.

Did you ever find a supplier for the RopaPoultry Oregano Oil? I get it from Strombergs. I try to buy 3-4 bottles due to shipping charges. I think its around 10$ for one bottle or 12$ and change for 4 bottles. I swear by it. Having 500 laying hens, we cant put it out all day, so we use it in the morning and at night. The girls drink it up. It has helped with production. We get way more large eggs now. The state inspector showed up here this morning and complimented me on the condition of my flock, and size of my eggs. He said he had seen some poor looking hens due to the heat. I told him what i was using, and he said he was going to start using it on his own flock. My only complaint is they don't sell it in bigger bottles.

Gosh, I am so sorry I did not get a notification on this thread!! Like lindaweed, I initially got mine from Strombergs but I got my last batch from My Pet Chicken because they were running a special. When I get it from Strombergs it arrives in a few days but when I ordered it from MPC it took two weeks. In the two weeks my girls were without it egg production dropped considerably. I bought the liquid version and use it in their water 24/7. Seriously, this is just an all around great product to keep your flock healthy.

I have not used this yet but have use the oregano oil mix from Peter Browns First Vet in VA. It is pretty spendy but works good.
