Roping a deer....

Mahonri,

Words cannot express how much I laughed during this story,
I was trying to read it fast to get to the next part, but was slowed down by my teary eyes.

Hilarious.

This truly brightened my day.
Wonderful, well written and highly comical adventure.

My father was taking a Natural History class, and part of the assignment was to collect road kill, then in class they'd taxidermy it. My dad picked up a 'dead' woodchuck from the side of the road.... it was dark.... and it woke up and started growling, and running around the floor of the car. he had to coast to a stop (he had his feet up on the seat) and then leap out and leave the door open so it could get out. From then on, he only picked the REALLY flat ones.

My uncle roped a deer when he was younger (probably about 30 years ago)... He was on a horse though and that evened things up a bit.. paraded that buck down main street of Glendale Utah..
