rose comb? single comb?

    Will you be able to determine this in day old chicks? I'm trying to determine if I have Barred Rocks or Dominiques. I took another look at them and one looked like it had a regular comb and the other looked smoothed and flat.

    The smooth flat combed ones would be Dominiques, normal combed ones are the Rocks. It is quite possible to tell in the first few days.

    yep. it's possible to tell right at hatch. flat tops are rose combs. single combs look just like little combs, but sometimes over to the side. you'll be able to tell.

    That is awesome. I got a rainbow asst and that means I have both Dominiques and BRs. Yaaaaaaaaaaay!
