Hello,
I have a Rosecomb rooster and a RIR hen. Would their offsprings meat be able to be eaten? I was told that you could not eat a Rosecomb.
Thank you.

Absolutely no reason that a rosecomb bird can not be eaten. Many chickens have both a single and rosecomb varieties. Whoever told you that is WRONG.

Rosecomb are a bantam breed so you won’t get much meat. Males supposedly are around 20 ounces, just over a pound, so you won’t get much meat. You can eat any chicken of any age, size, or sex, but a Rosecomb may be best for stew or broth. I don’t know how hard they’d be to clean.

If that bantam rooster can mate with a RIR hen, the offspring should be somewhere in between as far as size goes. They won’t be a great meat bird but you should be able to get some meat off of them. That tiny bantam may have problems hitting the target on the full sized hen to fertilize the eggs but often they can.
