Um, I think I have one, its getting that little point on the back of is very flat/wide comb. So....do they all get those big white earlobes? Is there like, ONE kind of Rosecomb Bantam and thats it, end of story? Are they nice? I guess I was never really fond of the ones with those big white earlobes...but I might learn to live with it... how do you tell if its a pullet of a cockerel with a Rosecomb?

Actually, just because it has a rose comb, does not make it the breed Rosecomb. Sort of like just because a dog is black, does not make it a black lab. There are actually quite a few chicken breeds that have rose combs, Hamburgs, Sebrights, Wyandottes to name a few....not to mention many cross breeds could have a rose combs as well.

Do you have pics? Those would help a bit, but if the birds is young then it would probably be good to wait until it's a few months old to determine what sort of breeding it may have.

I guess I assumed he was a Black Rosecomb because well, hes black, and has a rosecomb lol.

You cant see the point very well in the pic, but it stands up a lot, i'd say in 2 days it grew 1/8 of an inch

It could be anything from a black rosecomb to a black Wyandotte.

Just give it some time!

Don't you want to be surprised in the end???

lol NO I cant take it! I never wait for anything, other than red lights. I have to cheat, I even read the end of a book to know if I want to bother with reading the whole thing or not....

Gotta be a Rosecomb then.

Seriously though, he could have Rosecomb in him, but it's just too early to tell.

Patience is a virtue as they say.

My youngest DS is one of those bubbly wonderful children with not a shy or submissive bone in his body. Truly adorable and sweet, but he dont bend to no one and hes got a mouth as big as Texas and full of sass. His name is Danno (Daniel) and we have named this chick Danno because the behavior is um, exactly the same....

I have rose comb bantams and that looks just like my little hen.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's a rose comb
