Rosemary

Anyone have this plant growing where chickens have access to it? Do they eat it?

I grow it Brian, but I grow it in containers,mostly just because I enjoy the smell of it.Never have learned to cook with it and don't know if chickens eat it or not.

Yep, I have it growing. They on occasion will nip at it, but really don't eat it. Most of the time, chickens dont like strongly scented herbs.

All mine have done with it is scratch around & under it for bugs.

I have horse radish in my pen, chickens leave it alone and it gives them shade in summer.

How far north can you safely grow rosemary?

I love it on/in roast chicken. Fill the cavity up with rosemary, garlic (skin and all), onion and lemon rinds then slow roast. Yummy!

I also love it with tender young lamb!

Mine have always left parsley alone. They love beet greens, and even pecked the root in the ground until it's all gone.
