my rooster will not stop crowing, he will crow every 5 seconds. the longest I don't hear him crowing is for 5-7 minutes. he is with his hens. he is familiar with the area. there is another rooster but he doesn't crow. im wondering if there is a way I can get him to stop crowing.

you might consider getting him a new home? I've heard of some people keeping them in a darker area like the garage. but I'm not sure how much that would help and quality of life would not be so good. there is really not much you can do. sorry I couldn't be more help. good luck.

When did he start doing this? My rooster started doing that when my cousin got his rooster. Roosters will crow constantly to try and out-do each other (to see how is the loudest crower). It's normal. It means he is showing out. My rooster never crowed until we got more roosters and when my cousin got his roo. There's nothing wrong with your roo just normal male behavior when another male is near

he just started doing it when he lost a hen but he still has more hens and he has nine 2 month old babies with him in the coop. he is a huge rooster and a gentale one. the other rooster does not crow at all he never used to crow like this, the other rooster is half his size and doesn't try to compete with him
