Rotten egg under broody help!!!!

She is surprisingly very easy going. I was able to move her, she clucked at me a little, and she settled back down... No problems. I am planning on letting nature take it's course even though the wait is killing me!!!

So I checked on my mamma and no chicks... I did hear a *POP* when she settled down. A bomb went off! Then she ate it!

So I'm just hoping for one chick at this point!!!

On day 15 I found an egg in the nest that got broke by the hen. There was a fully developed chick in there with no feathers. I took it out and now, 5 days later (day 20) the nest smells ROTTEN. Are my other eggs ok? No pips yet and I’m worried that bacteria has formed and killed my babies.

Try candleing an egg or two and look for internal pips if not wait until day 22 or 23 before you give up on them
