rotten hatch

I had a 0 hatch out of a fifteen set. Embryos formed but all dead. I have never had this bad of a hatch. I suspect bad thermometer, low temps. This stinks. Delaware eggs from Florida.

Sorry to hear that, that's really nasty!

How come you think it's the thermometer? Did you check it? Was it very much off or wobbly? How far were the embryos developed? Hope your next hatch will be lots and lots better...

Too low of a temperature wouldn't cause the type of egg death you describe. What did the eggs look like when you took them out? Was the inner membrane plastered against the embryo, very dried out?

Some of them half developed . One pipped it was a huge developed chick. I put one of my own chicken eggs in, same thing. Thanks for the help. Never had this problem before. Just bummed out, her chickens were great.

Sounds like your issue is with proper humidity levels. Is this an incubator you've used befre?

Yes, I hatched before with it.

Wouldn't you know it, first time I set eggs other than my mutts this happens.
