Personally I wouldn't keep a chicken that acted that way... But I also have little kids to protect.

My sisters cat got hit by a car and the Dog and I were the ones who found her. She had a rod put in her leg and my Mum and I took care of her.... she hated me after that, the dog too. She would wait by the corner of a doorway and scratch my leg as I went by, same to the dog. This was after she was healed. I would grab her by the scruff and go dip her in the pool... yeah she was not happy about that but after 5-8 times she stopped

I have a friendly/sassy EE that loves attention but will peck at the back of our legs if we dare give attention to another bird. Pecking her back usually gets her to wander off, but if she's pushy I just topple her over onto her back and pin her down a couple of seconds, to let her know I'm the boss.

Even if you don't have kids, there is still the question of how much are you personally willing to put up with. I don't know how bonded you are to your chickens, which has a lot of sway in these types of decisions. I love all my chickens, but they are free range birds that we got for pest control, not pets, so the decision wouldn't be that hard for me.

I also have a EE who is a sassy girl she’ll just walk up to me while I’m sitting down and peck my leg which does not hurt but when she sneaks around me and pecks me on my back that one does hurt Its really casual like she is saying hello just have to make sure she doesn’t sneak up behind me!
