Most of the time you can voice sex them at a few weeks. Males will have a raspy/whispery sound and females will have a louder quack.

Ok folks help me out. I think the one in the front is a drake. Does the dark line that goes around the bill mean anything? They are 9 weeks old and starting to molt.

Both look like drakes.

The one in front is a drake judging by the darker feathers coming in around his bill and the washed out brownish wing feathers without the pencilling that the females have. I'd say the second one is a female. You could most likely do the tail test and find out real quick.

Hold bird and grab the tail feathers firmly ~ the female with quack loudly, sharply and distinctly. The male will have a raspy hissy quack.

Ducklings incoming. Have some hatching now. Not thru the hatch yet, they're just piping but was worried because I no longer have a male to breed my female. At least she won't be lonely on the pond if they hatch.
