When I bought my ducklings they didn’t have them properly labeled but the worker was more than helpful suggesting breed(s) they would most likely be... now that they are slightly older was wondering if anyone could help narrow down this one to either a Rouen or a Mallard:

Based on size I’m leaning towards a Rouen (blue runner standing next to him). It’s also the only one that is showing any signs of being a drake... please don’t mind the mess in the run as tomorrow is weekly cleaning day.

I would have to agree with you, and say it's a Rouen. He's a pretty big fellow, and his back toes are intact. Hatcheries are required to clip the back toes off of Mallards, not Rouens. Do you have any photos of him when he was young?

Only pics I still have of them younger than a week ago...

sorry for poor quality
This is from last week... he’s the brown one towards the front right behind the blue runner (the 3 White Crested are the same age as him for size comparison and the Peking is a month and a half younger)

My Rouen Hen and Mallard Drake mated. Will the babies still have two stripes since the Drake only has one? They are all good sized at 4 weeks, also some mallard hens were in the mix and I don't know which is which.
