Rouen Runner

Well my cute lil Solo, the sole duck to hatch from my batch of chicken eggs that I snuck a duck egg into, is decidely a Rouen colored duckling with the build of a runner. At a week+ old, I am excited to see how Solo matures. A Rouen Runner would be pretty neatterrible pic but...

it's actually a grey patch. He is getting his adult feathers and I think he is going to look rouen. The dad for all is a fawn and white runner. The mom for the blue ducks is a pekin. I also have a blue drake and a couple in the bator. mom and dad belong to @Texag87

Ah so we have the same cross...Fawn and White Runner over Rouen. How great to have a reference for what Solo might look like. Please post more pics as he changes!!

I really like those blues. It's so neat what comes from crossing. Just wouldn't expect that turn out lol

We were very surprised by the blue. I am thinking about breeding them for fun. They have goofy runner personalities. The mom genes seem strongest in all. The fourth ones mom is KC and she is very squirrelly.

My KC has the most personality of everyone. She is the boss and the mouth and definitely the smartest! My Pekins are complete morons lol. My runner drake is the overseer and his gal pal is very timid and very small. My Rouens are just...there. No real personality to mention.

I would totally breed those blues. Maybe one day they will be recognized as Magnolia Blues!
