Lost 3 birds this week, a lil RHR mix roo born in Jan, a 3 month old Australop hen and an adult good producer Wellsummer I paid $50 for 8 months ago...

Daytime Coyote folks... in a decently populated area (1-3 acres properties, 1 mile from I-15 in socal). That's where it's at nowadays. so to curb that, I installed a few motion sensors around their run. Got a few beeps earlier.

Sat down 20 yards from the run and shot 2 Coyotes, a male (almost 50lb) and a female who was "standing by".

Doesn't make up for it, especially the part where the Sheriff shows up to "investigate" "reported firearm discharge". Got luck however, while we were talking, "other" "firearm discharges" were reported a "few miles away". They took off.

Time to move folks.

So sorry about your loss. Lost three ducks several months ago. My husband and I live in the same area. Similar property size too. (We might be neighbors) However we haven’t had any coyote problems since we redid our run system. We put fencing all around the perimeter. We also have a German Shepherd that watches the yard for us from her fenced area. Anytime she barks were out there with pellet guns and/or knives.

Dogs are best detergent when it comes to unwanted wild animals. As long as they’re trained correctly. Where you thinking of moving to?
