I posted a post several weeks back about a coyote attacking my chickens in front of me and it did it again. This really upsets me to the point where I don't know what to do. This is the first time I ever had this problem usually it would be stray dogs. Today I was on my laptop sitting infront of my back sliding door and I recieved a call about an ad I post about trying to sell some of my roosters. Just then I saw the coyote chase my hen the only hen that happen to get out of the coop when I was feeding early that morning and grabbed her. My hen which is game cross manage to get away but had severe bite wounds to the back she ran right under our quarter horse gelding and I believe thats the only thing that saved her because the coyote went right after her but the horse got so spooked he jump in the air and the coyote ran out of the corral. The person was still on the line while i was yelling I probably creep him out. Then the coyote didn't seemed to be bothered it stood right by my horse corral so I told my sister and my uncle was here visiting us they got the 22. and a shotgun because this time I have had it with this coyote it just keeps coming around. So the went out there and the coyote sped off they manage to take a shot at it but missed. Now I am wondering will it come back again? I mean since we took a shot at it. Or will it stay away for several days then come back again. The fish and wildlife haven't give me a call nothing!! I know they are busy but this has been two months and I can't just keep letting my chickens become stress in a coop all the time. This gets me so worked up. I never shot at an animal but I wish the coyote was wounded at least because it's killing my pets and my chickens are my pets. They provide me eggs and company and just excitement of how they have different characteristics. I don't know what to do anymore. I am sooo lost???

It will be back and they tend to show up at the same time. For us it was 930 in the morning. We are done with the horses ,chores and chickens are turned out to free range. So we started watching he got three

before we finally got a shot off Good Luck!

He will be back for more chickens. You should get an electronic coyote call and sit outside one night with a light, gun and the call and try to call the thing in and blast the little buger when he comes around
