My cockerel just passed a round worm. (yes I know what they are. Years of dogs). What do you use? The woman at my feed store said she didn’t know.
I wonder if this is related to the trouble I am having with my pullet. Thanks.

We used to be able to purchase Wazine17 in the water to treat for roundworms, but it is off the market recently. I would recommend Valbazen 1/2 ml given orally, then repeat in 10 days. It treats most types of worms in chickens. Here is where to buy it if your local feed store does not have it:
https://www.jefferspet.com/products/valbazen-broad-spectrum-dewormer

Safeguard Liquid Goat Wormer would also be good for most worms. Dosage for roundworms and cecal worms is 1/4 ml per pound given once and repeated in 10 days. To treat for capillary and gapeworms, give 1/4 ml per pound to each chicken for 5 consecutive days.

For either product the normal egg withdrawal time is 14 days after last dose, so total of 24 days.

Amazon has Wazine17. That is used in their water, correct? Sounds easier to use. Although they haven’t begun laying yet, what is the egg withdrawal?
