Let me ask all of you this... Those that have cats, dogs, horses, cows, sheep, etc. Do you worm them?

-Kathy
Have had cats, have dogs and chickens...never needed too worm cat or chickens, had to worm one dog once for tapes and treat chickens once for lice
I only medicate when there's evidence of an overload or infestation....but not prophylactically

For the OP's situation, they definitely need some meds.

I worm my horse regularly. Dogs are also wormed regularly, since I have a house mate with a severely compromised immune system. The cat gets thoroughly wormed when I see tapes. I used to worm the chickens religiously, but where I am now, my chickens can't even go outside. So, they get wormed if I think they have a problem developing.

Oh yes, heart worm, flea, tick prevention for dogs in season.....was only thinking intestinal worms.
But I do look at dogs as pets that live inside with me and chickens as food.....for me there's a difference.
