So I noticed roundworms in my chickens droppings a week ago. I decided to treat with safeguard equine paste in bread for 5 days straight because I felt it was a pretty severe infestation in at least 1/2 chickens. I ended the 5 days yesterday.

Do I have to toss the eggs laid during treatment and also for 2 weeks after?

Here's an older thread with the same question.
Various people said no time, 10 days, 14 days, or 24 days.

And here's a thead with a longer discussion. I skim-read the first few pages (long thread) and it looks like they are saying there is no need to toss the eggs.

If you have more eggs than you can eat, I would toss the eggs the hens laid during treatment and after, just because that would be easier than trying to figure out the "right" answer. If you are short of eggs, then you will need to decide whether any of these answers is "right," or whether you even care. I know there are plenty of people saying they ate the eggs and did not notice any bad effects.

We eat the eggs after using Safeguard, still here typing. If you believe that you or a family member might have a reaction to the minute residue in the eggs, toss them in the garbage for a couple of weeks.
Thanks, I am 38 weeks pregnant so maybe I’ll just feed the eggs to my husband and eat the ones from before I started to treat them 😂

Thank you for the thread links, I had tried digging through old ones too with no definite answer. We do have a lot of eggs, may toss the ones from when I treated them and then just feed my husband the ones after for a little since I’m pregnant lol

Fenbendazole Aquasol, a very expensive liquid wormer for cattle, which costs about $300 can be used for chickens at a dose of 1 mg per kilogram of weight for 5 straight days without an egg withdrawal. It does not treat capillary worms though at that dose. This product below, around $25, looks to have a dosage 2 mg per kg, has about 50 doses or enough for 10 chickens for 5 days:

I would get a fecal float though, to make sure that my chickens did not have capillary worms, which is more of a dangerous one. Then the fenbendazole 10% liquid or paste could be used at the dose of 0.23 ml per pound dose for 5 days.

LOL. You might want to reconsider letting your husband eat the eggs first, then you eat the eggs afterwards. Ever seen worms inside an egg? Extra meat on the table mmmmmmm!
