What would be annual care for chickens? Two locals I've asked (family) have both said they do nothing for their birds. Just feed and water for their life cycle and that's it. What would all of you say? Same? Or is there things like with dogs that needs done annually?

You could have routine fecals done by a vet or lab to check for internal parasites, and you could do routine health checks yourself. Check weight, body condition, and check for external parasites.

So over all pretty low maintenance! Good to hear! What a change from dogs!

Pretty low maintenance, lol. I highly recommend starting by weighing them. That way is one starts looking iffy you will have a baseline weight to compare to.

Will do! They are only 3.5 weeks old right now, I will probably try to get a weight in a few weeks.....right now they all most all look the exact same to me so even if i managed to weight now in another month I would have no idea which one was which
