Ok, I have royal palm and blue palms. If I cross these two do the genetics work like the B/B/S gene with chickens? Meaning I would get some black, some blue, and some really washed out poults or is it totally different and not something I should do? Thanks for any help/input/education!

Normally on a chicken the splash (2 dilute genes) has spots. In the turkey the Slate Blue (1 dilute gene) has the spots and the Self Blue (Lavender) does not have any spots. From a distance the a Lavender Palm looks pure white. Its only when I walk up can I see the Palm pattern.

A Royal Palm X Slate Blue Palm = Royal Palms and Slate Blue Palms.

Blue Palm X Blue Palm= Royal Palm, Blue Palm, Self Blue (Lavender) Palms.

The way to get 100% Blue Palm is to breed Royal Palm to Lavender Palm.
