Well, about 4 weeks ago one of my hens went broody, followed by the other hen later in the week.
During the set, they were off the eggs dozens of times, almost collected the eggs twice.
This morning, while I was doing chores, I noticed two chicks in the nest, and some empty shells.
The two hens are sitting on a total of 30 some eggs, so I have NO idea what to expect. I was a little surprised any hatched, I guess they know what they are doing after all.
I may throw away my incubator!
I know, I know, pictures. Later for that.

UPDATE
We now have 4 chicks in the nest, and a bunch of eggs left to go (I hope not!)

The Toms got in the nest today and ate a couple eggs. I think they went in there cause I put food and water in the nest house. Lesson learned.

I know, I know, pictures! Let's just say they have been camera shy.

here is a pic of one of the turkey chicks

there are 3 more, and a couple eggs I don't have much hope for.

Momma was exactly 12 months old when she started to sit.

Oh how adorable!!! I'm bad. I took my hens eggs and put them in the bator. Then, she went full on broody, so I plopped some chicken eggs under her. Looking forward to seeing Mama turkey with her baby chickens. haha!

UPDATE
Here is a pic of the chicks resting with Momma on the Turkey Bar. At one month, they fly up to be with her at night.
