@casportpony I saw Ruby do two of these poops tonight after work. I don’t think she was pooping like that before today. She’s on the same “antibiotic that shall not be named” as last year. Can it cause these poops? I’ve seen a few of these around lately, but thought it was Millie and saw normal looking poop come out of Ruby until today.

The antibiotic can be hard on the kidneys I think, maybe that's it?

Oh, yikes. I’ll keep an eye on her and look into kidney support. I have liquid hepato and may give her some. Or maybe I’ll wait until after her treatment.

Ruby had her fourth dose of antibiotics and ibuprofen this morning. She seems happy, tail up, eating, etc. However, she’s huge and slow. I think it took quite awhile last year to see results, so I’m still hopeful. Her implant was late Tuesday morning.

Hi, friends. Ruby has been doing great! However, she has only been on her hormone implant for 12 days, and she’s already dropping feathers. She sat around a lot of the day today. Poor thing!

Hello. Ruby has been doing really well. Lately she’s been very vocal and asserting herself again. Yay! But today she squatted for me when I said her name. Not yay. Seems way too soon for hormones to be wearing off already. Ugh.

Oh nooo...how long did they last the previous time?

A few months, at least. Then her regular molt kicked in, which held laying off even longer.

So Ruby ended up going back into lay about a week or ten days later. She laid around eight eggs, I think. But she swelled fight up, stopped laying and now she’s in trouble again. Poor girl. I’ll take to her back to the avian vet again assuming I can get her in this week. We may try another go at hormones or I’m considering euthanasia. Why do the ones with the best personalities have to have the worst genetics? Anyway, I’m guessing cystic right oviduct since she only has trouble when in lay, and the fluid is compartmentalized per avian vet who tempted to drain her on two separate occasions and was unable to do so.

I hope everyone else snd their flocks are doing well.
