Another update on Ruphio, lavender orphington rooster. He was in a battle royal with our other barred rock roo (now removed). He had a very large bruse all along the left side of his neck from the top of his neck to the bottem of his crop and a big limp on his right leg. Hand fed and watered for a week he nearly passed so he went to the vet and found out the internal damage was worse than it looked and to keep doing what I was doing and it was a coin toss, but he was the nicest roo he had dealt with and worth the effort. So a month and a half later the bruising is gone and last week the last of his limp disappeared and now he is out with the ladies all 24/7 (they are free range) roost in his regular spot and crows. Unexpected bonus he let's me walk up and stand right next to him. Best outcome I could have asked for.
