I'm sorry, I think EVERYONE has a right to own chickens if they want to. I just have to say, I lived in Cary on and off... and I couldn't wait to get out, and STAY out! This place will fine you if you leave your garage door open for more then 45 minutes if it faces the street and passing cars can see into your garage. People are that offended in this town. You can be fined for not mowing your lawn often enough.
Yet, for some reason people want to live there?! Whatever....
I wish them luck with the few signatures they have to get their chickens...and I really hope they break and get some chickens. Honestly, the city councel wouldn't even listen to the people who wanted to, they said they were instantly met by citizens who said how disgusting chickens were, loud and smelly... and the city councel left it as that and threw out the propsal all together.
None-the-less.... fight for this yuppy town anyways! I'm sure they will allow chickens one day... long from now... long when they give up their lexuses and BMWs.... long when they actually understand you don't have to PAY to recycle... the day all their houses are more then 1 or 2 shades of beige....
Ok... you get the point... go sign their petition and get some healthy eggs on these people's plates!!!!!
