Rumpless or birth defect?

I have barnyard mix chicks from someone else, so I don't know the full extent of their ancestry. Father is most likely Brahma/Brahma mix. Might be some Faverolle or Lohman in there. This one has a weird tail that constantly points downwards.

My first thought is Araucana/another rumpless breed somewhere in her heritage. Don't know anything about this gene. Could it turn out like this generations later?

Second thought is birth defect or injury to tail early on.

Any other explanations? Anyone have something similiar?

Who knows? I'd keep her out of the gene pool. Wry tail is genetic, could this be similar? Best to avoid risking passing on a problem.

Sound advice! I can't remember there being an accident and injury, so most likely it's some freak gene fault, and that'll pass on. Who knows how much of her body it's affecting. Luckily she seems perfectly ok, so she'll make a nice "spectacle" addition to the flock.
