run cleaning with grass?!?!

I am having trouble cleaning my coop. I know that you can put sand down and scoop out the poo, but I don't want to ruin my chickens grass (they haven't destroyed it yet). I need help!!

Most don't put sand down until the grass is mostly decimated, so don't worry about sand yet. Grass is harder to clean - I use a rake with long, narrow, flexible (close together) tines to clean mine...but my girls free range quite a bit, so it doesn't collect a whole lot of droppings.
