How big of a run ?
We covered our first 10 feet with a solid sloped roof but the rest we used nylon mesh .... after two summers our cat fell threw the roof
he was as scared as the chickens ....
We replaced it all with 1x1 hardware cloth on the roof ... when it snows we make a plastic wall to keep birds under the roofed in area .
