Run Desinge

What is a good run size and desinge for a movable run to be atached to my chicken tractor that will act as the main coop it should be big enough for 12 standard hens and 1 rooster. any ideas?

Making a moveable pen big enough for 13 birds will be difficult. I use my kids' trampoline, and it works very well. It offers tons of space and great shade.

To make it, I just put chicken wire around the base of the tramp, and attached it with zip ties. I think this spring I'll try to replace the wire with something more substantial. I also want to put some horizontal bars at the bottom of all the sections (maybe PVC), so I can anchor the fence/barrier along the entire bottom of the "tractor." As it is, the tubular steel trampoline frame only extends between every other section.

It's a 14 ft trampoline, so the area is over 150 square feet. If I can make it a little more secure, it'll be perfect.

I've seen a number of cheap trampolines on Craigslist. You might want to check it out in your area.

that trampoline idea is awesome........I keep on trying to get things off craigslist......I am to slow........maybe if I left this forum once in a while I might stand a chance haha
