Run Extension Under Berry Tree

Good day all.

In a previous thread we were looking at ways to fight boredom of the girls as they were getting violent. We decided on a simple portable run extension. My girlfriend spent all day working on it and she's proud of it, but a thought suddenly struck us.

As in the photo, the extension is under our Mountain Ash tree. The tree produces thousands of red berries. This attracts a lot of local birds (mainly chickadees). They may perch in the trees above, and poop on the extension below.

Is this going to be a huge issue when it comes to potential exposure to disease?

If the chickadees were already hanging out in that tree, anything they may have is probably already in your flock as it's close to the chicken area.

It's a valid question, but as @rosemarythyme said, the tree, the chickens, and the wild birds are already occupying the same space anyway. The chickens would love to eat the berries.
