We are using (considering) this:


on 1/2 the run...the other 1/2 hardware cloth...
the reason we were thinking of this was due to rainy weather etc...they could still go outside...and its clear so the light can still come through afterwards etc..

If you can, the hard wire is great for predators. I put 12 ft. of metal roofing over the 25 ft run too for shade and rain.

We used the clear plastic roofing from Lowes, made for high winds and snow, allows all the light but nothing else.
