Garron tried to mirror her smile, but the attempt was futile. "I tried to tell Zero about him last night," he murmured in her ear as he laid down beside her with reluctance quivering each of his movements. His gaze was still wary, and he kept scanning the landscape to see if Scar would show up, or if he could get a whiff of his scent to warn him beforehand. "She thinks that I'm not giving him a chance, and that I'm making it into something that it isn't."
Piper ate her rabbit nervously, her eyes full of confusion. "I'm sorry...well...I...I think he might really be good for Pinepack. He is strong and knows what his is doing...you saw that deer he brought in? I could never do that...He even was talking like he had lived in pinepack forever, reminding me we need to put the pack first. I don't know......I feel like I should give him a chance...maybe my first reaction was wrong and he really is a good wolf. He has only treated me with kindness since he got here..." her heart felt like it was being split in two but she refused to cry in front of Garron again.
